Activism should be social, too.If you're like many activists, you probably already work with a lot of people. Remembering names, planning events, meeting new people, working for change. And, if you're like us, sometimes all of that information can make changing the world seem like a pretty big job. That's where we come in. We design tools to make your life as an activist easier, more fun, and more productive.
See only what is relevant.Have you ever tried to organize a conference while scuba diving? Probably not. That's because sea creatures are cool and it's a bummer to be distracted when you are doing something important. We've gotten rid of the clutter that makes your internet time less productive, and are able to recognize your interests and opinions in order to suggest the information that you are most likely to find useful.
Not all things to all people. We realize that the internet is a big place, and for activists to be successful, sometimes it's best not to have all your eggs in one basket. With this in mind, we designed Squarepeg to integrate with popular technologies, such as Basecamp and Wordpress. That way every time you blog about something important, start a new project, or use one of the other tools that aid you in your endeavours, the people who should know about it, do. We aren't looking to reinvent the wheel, because vibrant communities always have many lines of communication; We just think the axels could use some grease.
Like what you hear?We hope you do. We are putting a lot of time, energy and care into making Squarepeg the best possible tool it can be. (Certain people might even say that it's all we're doing these days.) We think it's going to be something pretty useful, and to make sure it is... we'd like you to give it a test run. We will be throwing the switch on a beta version of Squarepeg this summer. If you'd like to be invited when we do, sign up now, and we'll make sure you're first on the list.
Also, just so you know: We take you, and your privacy very seriously. Come hell, high water, the bursting of the bubble or alien invasion, we will never sell or trade your email address. We mean it.
